Traditional Pot of Mealworms - Roasted Corn Flavor

Our edible insect tasting jars offer mealworms raised in France (on our own farm) and fed with vegetable matter from local organic farming (from the village!). These insects are cooked with local organic roasted corn, called gaudes flour in Bresse (farm territory). It is a typical product of the region which is brought up to date with a totally innovative food (but also produced locally). It comes to give a caramelized popcorn side to the insects, finally approaching the natural taste of the insects (roasted cereals) but rounding it off and making it more greedy. A flavor that will appeal to children or that can be used to make cookies encrusted with edible insects. The choice of a glass jar makes it possible to have an elegant product, well preserved and which makes it possible to materialize insects which are quite light. A seal in the lid keeps the insects even after a first opening. The jar is sturdy enough for children who are very fond of mealworms. Use: aperitif, tasting, in a salad or as a garnish on a cheese toast, sprinkled in legumes or rice (complete protein mix, worms serving as crispy bacon).
