Offering extraordinary biscuits with exceptional ingredients: this has been Maison Drans' mission for almost 100 years!
We make all our biscuits by hand in our workshop and we use 100% natural ingredients (no flavorings, preservatives or additives): AOP butter from Charentes, free-range eggs from Loué, Traditional flour from the mills of the Centre. We work with raw materials in our recipes (fresh fruit, dried fruit, chocolate, PDO cheeses, etc.) to obtain this artisanal quality that is unique to us.
Founded in 1932 in Sablé-sur-Sarthe by the Drans family of artisan pastry chefs, the house survived the 19th century alongside the Saboliens and is now part of the local heritage. Known for its crunchy and soft shortbread biscuits, the house also offers crispy Croq'Amours.
Maison Drans was taken over in 2018 by a couple, Alexandra and Antoine Pelletier. At the origin of this recovery, five fabulous years spent expatriating for large groups alongside the Chinese in Shanghai. This admiration for France and its culinary specialties has given rise to a huge desire in them to showcase French know-how, the wonderful ingredients of our country and exceptional products.
Alexandra and Antoine chose to return to France to start and take over an artisanal biscuit factory with unique expertise: Maison Drans crossed their path and it was love at first sight.
Maison Drans has been admitted to the Culinary College of France as a Quality Artisan Producer.
